How to Expand the Service Life of Rotary Kilns
The rotary kiln has high requirements on the refractory materials and construction technology. Its service life will directly affect the post-production process.
1) Thermal operation should be appropriate. The high temperature zone should be sintered in a weak oxidizing atmosphere to improve the refractory performance of the fuel ash and refractory lining and reduce the liquid amount and liquid viscosity and the chemical erosion by slags to lining bricks.
2) Form a kiln coating and cool the firing zone with water cooling to reduce the temperature of bricks and reduce the chemical erosion speed of molten slags.
3) Try to produce bricks uniformly and reduce the stress caused by the temperature fluctuation.
4) The mortar joints should be small and the mortar should be strong enough to improve the structure and strength of the masonry.
5) The lining bricks should be selected based on the materials fired and the thermal conditions. The bricks of the firing zone are always damaged seriously, so it must be selected seriously. Now a new high alumina brick bonded with phosphorus sulfate has good strength, good resistance to rapid heating and cooling, good wear resistance at middle temperature(500-1200℃), good chemical stability at high temperature(1500℃), high temperature structural strength and high viscosity of melting. It has been widely used in the firing zone, decomposition zone and cooling zone.
