The double crown furnace has two layers of crowns which are located on the roof of the furnace and form the flame path of the roof. The two layers have the same span with the height of about 170-230mm, 1/6-1/7 of the span. The height of the flame path formed by the crowns is 180-230mm.
The longitudinal force of the double crowns is borne by the pool walls and the lateral thrust is borne by the steel parallel to with the crown. In order to the service life, the lower crown is constructed with grade Ⅰ high alumina brick or corundum bricks.
The fire suction channel is generally set on the inner side of the sidewall at the end of the discharge port. It is the path the fire enters the flame path of the roof from the pool. The size of the section should be proper. If too small, it may be clogged by the dust and make the positive pressure too large and increase heat loss; if too big, it may increase energy consumption.
The size of the section of a furnace with a daily output of 2.5-4.5 ton is generally 0.01—0.025m2.
The discharge port is the port through which the glaze melt enters the cooling device from the pool. It is set up on the bottom or the on the wall. It is generally 230mm wide and 345-460mm long. A hole is reserved at one end (65*115mm) to prevent flame entering the port and reduce the viscosity of glaze melt. The discharge port is mainly constructed with high alumina bricks. its diameter is about 20-35mm and the flow rate is 2-3.5kg/m.
The heat exchanger is a device for preheating air with the heat of waste gas. It can improve the temperature and reduce heat loss and energy consumption.
When determining the size of the heat exchanger and the layers of the wind tunnel, the pumping power of the chimney, flow resistance and the amount of air needed should be taken into consideration.
