The Laying Method of Refractory Bricks

There are almost three laying methods for the refractory bricks.
1) Flat laying method
The flat laying method is mainly used in the furnace walls and sometimes in the lowermost layer of the furnace bottom. The flat laying is the most common laying method.
2) Side laying method
The side laying method is mainly applied for the bottom paving bricks and arch roof.
3) Vertical laying method
The vertical laying is mainly used in the top layer of the furnace bottom and the working layer of the furnace bottom.
Take the straight standard brick as example. When flat laid, the biggest face is in the horizontal position; when side laid, its side face is in the horizontal position; when vertically laid, the small face is in the horizontal position.
